• The Slow Fade: When the Blogging Buzz Fades Out

Putting gas back on the pedal…. Remember that burst of energy? The daily posts, photo editing , witty remarks, incessant tagging etc. Lately, my online presence has become… a lot quieter. I’ve taken my foot off the pedal, and the momentum has gradually dwindled to a near standstill. It’s a familiar story, I think. We […]

English Wedding Celebrant in France.

Sandie Smith is a professional wedding celebrant who has been living and working in France for the past forty two years. She speaks both English and French fluently and is a font of knowledge on getting married in France. She works and travels widely all over France, UK, Spain and Italy to perform non-religious, inter-faith and humanist ceremonies . She composes each ceremony to reflect every couple’s unique story . Thanks to her own very colourful life experience  ( which we won’t go into!) she embraces all ideas no matter how formal or informal.

“Her ceremonies have a sense of gravitas without being…………… boring !”

Traditional, elegant and contemporary.

Sandie’s ceremonies have a contemporary, elegant, fashionable feel. She has 5 adult, children who keep her up to date with trending tastes and movements….

And although she’s non-religious and is a full member of the British Humanist Association wwww.humanism.org.uk she’s comfortable with the word “spiritual”. She has a keen interest in Vipassana meditation and has spent many years studying with Tich Nhat Hanh and  S. N. Goenka, influential non-sectarian teachers of the Vipassana movement. She has a deep interest in the subject of “LOVE” and feels deeply honoured to be a celebrant.  She crafts and orchestrates uplifting, romantic ceremonies which are  both joyful and profound.  She’s also a keen fund raiser, a human rights activist and worked as an elected member of the french “Conseil Municipale”  ( no mean feat in rural France.)

“She enhances every ceremony with a little mindfulness.”

Getting married in France?

(Paris, Bordeaux, Provence, Pyrénées Atlantiques Dordogne , Cote d’Azur)

Couples come from all over the world to get married in France. Its romantic allure is perfect for fairy tale weddings in chateaux, on beaches, in family homes, under the Eiffel Tower, on the Cote d’Azur, in the lavender fields of Provence, or in the vineyards of Bordeaux

It’s easy to lose sight of the “most essential moment” in all the excitement,  planning and organisation of a destination wedding.

“The ceremony is the quiet moment where everything stops. It must be moving and absolutely engaging. Everyone must get swept along with the joy of the event “
