English Speaking Wedding Celebrant in France.
Sandie Smith is an experienced, professional wedding celebrant working in France for the past thirty years. She speaks both English and French fluently and is a font of knowledge on getting married in France. She travels widely in France , UK, Spain and Italy to perform non-religious, inter-faith, humanist ceremonies at any type of location. Her compositions are uniquely honed to reflect every couple’s unique story . Thanks to her own very colourful life experience ( which we won’t go into!) she embraces all ideas no matter how formal or informal.
“Her ceremonies have a sense of gravitas without being …………….. boring !” quote………..
Traditional , elegant and contemporary.
Sandie’s ceremonies have a contemporary, elegant, fashionable feel without being whacky!
Although she’s a full member of the British Humanist Association wwww.humanism.org.uk she’s comfortable with the word “spiritual”. She has a keen interest in meditation and spent many years studying with Tich Nhat Hanh and S. N. Goenka, influential non-sectarian teachers of the Vipassana movement.
“Every ceremony is enhanced with a little mindfulness.”
Getting married in France. (Paris, Bordeaux, Cote d’Azur)
Couples come from all over the world to get married in France. Its romantic allure is perfect for fairy tale weddings in chateaux, on beaches, in family homes, under the Eiffel Tower, ……. A great deal of effort, excitement, resources and planning go into the organisation of a wedding in France…
…but the wedding ceremony is the quiet moment where everything stops. It must be moving and absolutely engaging. Even the most cynical must get swept along.”
A Celebrant in France . Professional, legally registered and insured.
Sandie is also the co author / songwriter, creator and performer of www.singalangue.com , a children’s show which is recommended by the Education Nationale in France. She combines years of experience in the performing arts and a deep interest in the subject of “LOVE” to craft and orchestrate uplifting, romantic ceremonies which are both joyful and profound. She’s also a keen fund raiser, a human rights activist and an elected “Conseillere Municipale” ( no mean feat in rural France)
Her husband, singer/songwriter George Smith is the leader of “Hicksville Swing,” probably the busiest private function band in South West France providing music for literally hundreds of weddings in France every year.
